This article first presents the features of the automotive sector. Through a study of arbitral awards, including unpublished ICC awards, it then categorises and discusses the main disputes/actors involved at different levels of the automotive production and supply chain. It finally addresses the question as to whether specialized arbitration centres would be of added value for dispute resolution in the automotive industry.
