C. Seppälä and A. Nadar

English

The new ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR Report ‘Construction Industry Arbitrations: Recommended Tools and Techniques for Effective Management’ is an update of the ‘Final Report on Construction Industry Arbitrations’ issued in 2001, in light of the developments in construction arbitration, dispute avoidance and the 2012 and 2017 revisions of the ICC Rules of Arbitration. Experienced practitioners and renowned experts in the construction field from various regions were invited to constitute a new drafting group, while retaining the original authors Nael Bunni and Judge Humphrey Lloyd QC in an advisory role. The Co-chairs of the drafting group, Aisha Nadar (Member of the FIDIC Board and Partner at Runeland, Stockholm) and Christopher Seppälä (FIDIC’s observer on the ICC Court and Partner Of Counsel, White & Case, Paris) present the scope and objectives of the ICC Commission Report, published in this issue of the Bulletin and available at https://iccwbo.org/construction-industry-arbitrations-report and in the ICC Digital Library.
