Claimant, a French agent, entered into an agreement covering the exclusive representation in France of Defendant, a Spanish manufacturer of leather goods. Following the failure by Defendant to renew the agreement at the end of its two-year fixed term, Claimant sought compensation for loss of earnings and an indemnity for the termination of the agreement.

Le demandeur, un agent commercial français, conclut un contrat assurant la représentation exclusive en France du défendeur, fabricant espagnol d'articles de maroquinerie. A la suite du non-renouvellement du contrat par le défendeur à la fin de la durée de deux ans convenue, le demandeur réclama une indemnité pour perte de bénéfices et une indemnité de résiliation du contrat.
