L/C calls for a certificate signed by Beneficiary's authorized officer. The certificate presented shows a signature under the name of the beneficiary without mentioning the status of the signatory as "authorized officer". Is it a discrepancy?

Extension of Confirmation of Standby LC
It must seek both issuing bank and beneficiary's acceptance to limit the period of confirmation to six months only.

Insurance sertificate/ claims agent
No, it is not, because 'claims settling agent in Kenya" means that the agent should be located in Kenya. So, the document is discrepant.

D/C available by negotiation with instructions to be confirm
Confirmation of a credit available by negotiation at the counters of the confirming bank means a definite undertaking of the confirming bank to negotiate a complying presentation and the draft must be drawn on the issuing bank

Beneficiary's authorized officer
Would you consider it as a discrepancy or not based on the fact that the beneficiary would not present a document not signed by an authorized officer in the company?

CREDIT NOTE
Yes, in my view, this additional document is NOT to be considered as forming part of the presentation and therefore it should be disregarded in the examination process BUT NOT in the settlement process which should follow the nominated bank's instructions.
