Goods Description On Insurance Policy/Certificate

To everyone, thank you for your responses. However, to add something to the case, if you as a bank have a knowledge of the beneficiary's business, a general description of Hardwood Lumber, and 4/4 Walnut Sawn Timber would be the same?

Goods Description On Insurance Policy/Certificate

Recently we had a case where the issuing bank picked up a discrepancy on the Insurance Cert. with the goods description. The Description of Goods under the Dc states: 4/4 Walnut No. 1 common Kiln Dried Sawn Timber. The Insurance Policy stated Hardwood Lumber. We disagreed citing Art. 37 C of UCP500....

Thank you. However, upon further investigation there is a port in Canada so named.

Port of Discharge on B/L

The DC calls for loading/dispatch at/from "come by chance (Canada).
What would be acceptable per UCP? The beneficiary has presented a charter party (acceptable under the DC) showing port of discharge "come by chance (Canada)".
