I will retire on 28 February.
So, time to say goodbye.
It has been a privilege and a great pleasure to take part in this forum all these years.

Sub-Art 24(a)(v)

Jeremy,

If it is not a IATA format, all the more reason to state that it is the original for the carrier.

B/L for ½ part of 1x20’GP container only

FCL-FCL/CY-CY means that the whole container is for one consignee from one shipper. So I wonder why several B/Ls were issued.

Sub-Art 24(a)(v)

I referred to 136 only because it recognizes that an ATD indicates that it is the original for consignor/shipper

Sub-Art 24(a)(v)

Maybe a daft answer but yes, it will be discrepant. (IATA; copy no 3: "original for shipper", ISBP par.136.
In contrast to 24 b.i.

Bill of lading: ‘Delivery clause’

Jeremy,

When I read it, I understood a delivery clause separate from or in addition to or different from the general pre printed wording stated in the query

order

The B/L is issued: "To order of Bank X" (the issuing bank). The Cof O in the box consignee states only:
"To order". In my opinion it is Ok but not evebody agrees. ??

Article 38 j.

Quite simple.
The transferring bank will give the bank of the second bnf the means to honour or negotiate and will request to be advised accordingly. As soon as the transferring bank is advised, it will also honour or negotiate.
