quantity description

A documentarty credit require
1000 metric tons to be shipped.
The invoices presented showed 1000 tne instead of mt or metric tons. The beneficiary claims that tne is a international accepted standard for metric tons. Is the document with tne as description for mt acceptable under a Credit?

Shipping details

When a L/C requires a presentation of beneficiaries copy of a fax advising shipping details, what should be the minimum requirement for shipping details to be stated? Is a document without showing the name of the vessel and the date of shipment acceptable?
