An integral part of the L/C

As UCP indicates, examination begins with the terms of the LC. A "complying presentation" must comply with the LC terms and where silent the rules provide a default. In this case, the LC is requiring you to verify a signature which is a difficult thing to do especially in light of Article ...

acceptable to applicant

This can be read a number of ways. I read it as a "retention Bond" needed to be posted and the applicant needed to review/accept it. It is a poorly worded LC. The confirmer is trying to indicate that they are seeking some sort of proof that the buyer accepted it. The applicant's signature ...

Incoterm

Documents presented directly by the beneficiary

Perform a search in the opinions. This has come up before. This is also under the UCP Article 7 a. so perhaps you can do a search related to that. An issuer cannot refuse to honor a complying presentation sent directly from a beneficiary. A nominated bank does not have to act on its nomination and a...

Description of Goods

Their are ICC opinions regarding additional statements that do not change the LC description. Also ISBP does state that the description: "must "correspond" with the description in the credit. There is no requirement for a mirror image".

Can an issuing bank omit to notify of discrepancies when the

If a valid discrepancy is cited and waived by the issuer they are entitled to a fee. If the presenting party desires to challenge the fee they need to do so based upon the discrepancy. A wire transfer holds little space for discrepancies to be listed. However, if issuer is contacted by the presenter...
