BRIEFLY COMPEER BETWEEN URDG 458 AND URDG 758

Many guarantee format still referred to URDG 458 , customer banks are afraid to change to URDG 758 to avoid refusal of their guarantees .
1 - Is URDG 458 still in use .
2 – can we get a brief compression between URDG 458 & URDG 758

I also struggle to understand how an IB can create a DP before presentation of documents. I certainly have no idea what is going on.

Thank you for your response. Sorry for the confusion. I also noticed subsequently that the description of goods is simply cited as an example of how the relationship to the underlying goods may be established. Hence I stand corrected that there is no conflict.

Thanks for the clarification. So if I have understood correctly under an acceptance credit the issuer prior to creating an acceptance may reject the documents containing any sanctioned elements but may be prevented from claiming that right post acceptance. Regards Khalid
