Shipping marks on 3 lines or 1 line
I was advised it was a ruling issued by ICC Docdex. I have not seen the full ruling, but from what I have been told, I am amazed that such a ruling has been issued. Has anyone know of this ruling?

Shipping marks on 3 lines or 1 line
I beleive there has been a ruling on this by the ICC Quoted as follows: "The Panel of Experts unanimously considers that this is indeed a discrepancy justifying rejection of the documents: - The Invoices show the printing of the Shipping Marks in two lines instead of four lines as appearing in ...

Shipping marks on 3 lines or 1 line
We have received a letter of credit that shows the shipping marks over three lines. Due to software issues, the shipping marks have been typed on one line on ALL of the export documents. The EXACT wording has been used, but rather than across three lines, it’s all on one. This has been called as a d...

Transhipments and the Bill of Lading
As a Freight Forwarder (and ex banker) I have a question regarding transhipments and how it should be shown on the bill of landing. Lets say I have a shipment from Melbourne that is going to Xingang in China. It will be transhipped via Hong Kong. In most cases, the Bill of Lading will be made out as...

B/Ls of the same set bearing different numbers
I am a freight forwarder and I issue B/L's. This sounds like human error, although it would be hard to do. Is it possable to request fax copies from the bank?

Shiped on board date and Receive for shipment B/L
We have an export letter of credit that asks for the standard “Full set clean shipped on board Bill Of Lading ……….” A standard Bill of Lading, signed by the carries agent has been presented with the words SHIPPED ON BOARD printed and the date has been hand written in with no stamp. I have two questi...

Description of Goods and Partial Shipments
If the 2nd set of documents was for the remaining balance of funds under the L/C, I would also say that these documents are discrepant. If there were still funds still to be unitised, then they would not be discrepant.

POCL Bill of Lading
Now that the issue with the Maersk’s B/L is over, I thought I would throw this one up. P&O Container line (POCL) have a statement on their B/L that reads: "If the Carrier so requires, before he arranges delivery of the Goods one original Bill of Lading, duly endorsed, must be surrendered by...

Maersk b/l's
Re my question of “should it be called a dirty B/L?” I know art 32a refers to the goods only and does not apply to this case. My question is “in the new revised UCP, should a B/L clause like the Maersk on be called a dirty B/L?” I have raised this point to someone within my industry (freight forward...

Maersk b/l's
L\Cs have always asked for a “CLEAN” on board B/L. The word “clean” has always referred to ‘no notation of damage to the cargo’. Should a “DIRTY” B/L be referred as a B/L that has notation of damage to the cargo OR a B/L that has a get out clause as the Maersk B/L’s currently do? Mark from Melbourne.
