Fair enough Gabriel. In answer to your question it would have to be 14(a) in conjunction with the definition of a complying presentation in Article 2 which expressly refers to i.s.b.p. (as opposed to ISBP which is an authoritative, if flawed, source of i.s.b.p.).

What if the 3 LCs are issued as separate back-to-back credits against 3 separate original credits received from 3 different issuing banks? How can such BL covering the 3 consignments altogether be applied on the original LCs?
