LC asks for an insurance certificate issued or endorsed to the order of X, and states the clause :'electronic printing acceptable'.
What does this clause exactly mean?
Thanks

I speculate, repeat ‘speculate’, that the drafter of this provision is trying to cover insurance documents, which are increasingly common, that are completed ‘on line’ and when printed are arguably indistinguishable from black and white photocopies, including with respect to the insurer’s signature if not the insured’s signature as well.

I have been involved in much debate with ICC UK as to whether such documents meet the requirements of the signing ‘interpretation’ in Art 3 and sub-Art’s 17(b) – (c) and am hoping the a new ‘decision’ will be provided by the ICC that clarifies the position for certain.
