Dear all,
I would like to have your opinions on this case:
L/C required bill of lading, and charter party b/l allowed.
The document presented was a charter party b/l, showing carriers name and signed "for and on behalf of the master capt. (name) as agent only as per authority (stamp and signature of shipper of the b/l i.e.beneficiary of the l/c.)
Is the signing of the b/l in accordance with art.22 of UCP600 due to the fact that the beneficiary of the l/c/shipper is acting as agent of the master?
I look forward to reading your views and thank you in advance for providing them.

Yes the BL is acceptable as below:-
1. UCP 600 did not prohibit Charter BL to show the Carrier’s Name
2. The signing capacity is as per UCP 600 i.e. The Shipper is an agent signing on Behalf of the master.
