notify party in AWB

L/C requires an air waybill to be issued in the name of Company X and marked notify Company X

However, there is no special field for notify party in standard form of the carrier. Due to this 2 questions arising:

1) is it necessary at all to indicate notify party in order to avoid a discrepancy, taking into consideration that the same Company X is already mentioned in document as Consignee

2) in case it is necessary, what would be the most appropriate place to show this information? (would it be OK to use fields “Handling Information” or “Description of Goods”)

1. Yes. 2. Most PRACTICAL place = “Consignee’s Name and Address” by adding the words “& notify party” immediately after.
