Hi all,
a L/C required AWB as per UCP art. 27 and was issued in order to that article.
The are also three field on AWB named as:
1) Issuing carriers agent name and city
2) agents IATA code
3) account no.
.
My question is, if field 1 is empty and only field 2 and field 3 are filled with numbers only, does this disqualify the AWB issued as per art. 27 of the UCP?
In case field 1 would be filled with the same name as the undersigning carrier, this would consitute a discrepancy, but would also consitute a discrepancy with filled fields 2 and 3 ?
Many thanks in advance for your help.
best regards

AWB as per art. 27 UCP 500
AWB as per art. 27 UCP 500
Gerhard,
If AWB comply with art. 27 and credit , it is OK and too bad if some boxes are empty. Actually, I have in front of me an AWB with box 1 (in your example) empty and boxes 2 and 3 completed but the name of the carrier appears (issued by) and it is duly signed.
