LC Number and Date

LC calls for Invoice to mention 'LC number and date'. Invoice presented does not state date of the LC. Is that a reason to refuse documents? Can the document issue date be considered as the date as required under the LC since LC did not clearly articulated whether Invoice needs to evidence LC date as opposed to date?

I assume the basis of your argument is that the credit should ideally have stated that the invoice should evidence 'LC number and LC date'.
Have you ever seen a credit issued like that?
The context is clear in that the date required is the LC date.
