Shall we meet and chat in Franfurt?

AN IDEA FOR ACTIVE MEMBERS

We have an idea. Since we exchange views almost on daily basis in the DC Pro Discussion Forum, why not we try to arrange a luncheon or bar meeting during or after the ICC Banking Commission meetings in Frankfurt?

We have never met some of those frequent contributors here personally. This is a good opportunity for us to seat together and chat. We hope to see the faces of those members we are talking to daily.

What do other members think about this idea?

To encourge more bankers to subscribe, we suggest the DC Pro to invite some of the frequent contributors to talk about their experiences here in the ICC meetings?

I think the idea of meeting and chatting in person is great. It gives members the opportunity to get closer, discuss issues of mutual concern and it benefit to a great deal the promotion of DC PRO. I remember when I met Mr. Lee and Abdulkader in Jeddah it was great opportunity for all of us. Later Mr. Lee and myself conducted a live exercise on DC PRO for more than 30 bankers in two batches.

As for the invitation of active members in DCPRO to the ICC meeting I think it is the decision of the DCPRO, however since the idea is tempting we are glad to support it and wish those who might be invited the best of luck.

I think the idea is a good one. It may be difficult to organise anything formal at this stage but an informal gathering would be useful for us to get some input to our plans for DC-PRO from it's most active users. Please reply if you are interested and we will try to arrange an informal gathering of those attending Frankfurt. Derek Ennis and Roger Heinzel from DC-PRO will be attending the meeting and will have a stand.

As the one who proposes this informal gathering, I am glad to join but we have to fix the date and time as I have other appointments to make as well.

Since ICC has a delegates reception hosted by the Commerzbank AG on 49th floor of the Commerzbank Building at 1800 -200 hours on Wednesday 7th November 2001, we may either go after this event to a bar to have a chat or have a gathering the next day after the close of the ICC meeting for dinner on 8th Novemebr 2001.

I understand that some members may have to leave soon after the meeting or the next morning. So a gathering in the bar on 7th November would warrant full attendance.

I depart on 11th November 2001.

As Sean has mentioned above, Roger Heinzel and I will be representing DC-PRO at Frankfurt.

We would be more than happy to sit down with DC-PRO Focus subscribers to discuss our service, your experiences and any possible improvements you suggest.

We are arriving on the evening of Tuesday 6th and leaving on the morning of Friday 9th. I think the evening of the 7th is best. As T.O. says, some people may be leaving straight after the event on the Thursday.

Alternatively we could look at Tuesday AM over a coffee.

For anyone who cannot join us, or would like to talk to us one-on-one, please come to see us at the stand to give us your feeedback on the use of DC-PRO.

MEETING BREAK

Dear Members,

I am going to attend the ICC Banking Commission meetings in Frankfurt during the period 4-11 November 2001. During this time I would not be able to participate in the DC Pro Discussion Forum.
