Some of those negative comments are in fact from the tourist guides working for a well-established UK travel agency. My first impression to a country that I first visit is unavoidably shaped or influenced by a tourist guide.
The current practice of journalism around the world is to dramatize and exaggerate things simply because hot gossips, scandals and stunning negative stories can boost sales of the newspapers and magazines. Some friends of mine say that the media, TV included, only let you see what they want you to see!
