Hi everyone

I am wondering about your precious opinions re additional discrepancies

Under an export l/c we have receive doc.s and found some discrepancies and informed related parties accordingly.
Then we have received acceptance of discrepancies message from the issuing bank after receiving this acceptance the same day the doc.s amount is discounted and paid to the beneficiary .
After a few days we did receive another swift message informing us about two more discrepancies ...

If I understand correctly you examined the documents, determined they were non-compliant, refused them, contacted the issuing bank notifying them of the discrepancies and asking for authority to honour / negotiate, the issuing bank gave authority, you honoured / negotiated & forwarded the documents to the issuing bank, the issuing bank examined the documents and has now raised discrepancies you did not raise.

The position is that if the discrepancies raised by the issuing bank are ‘valid’ you were not entitled to honour /negotiate.

However, if my understanding is not correct see sub-Article 16(c).
