Pls give your comments for the following case:
B/L showing description of goods and listing container number (FCIU123456)and its content.
But on the ending part (regularly in left column on BL), the listed container number is different from above. (FCIU456789 I/O FCIU123456)
+ Can we raise the DSCRP: B/L showing two different container number
+ the other case: If on the ending part of B/L, the listed container number is APLU123456 i/o FCIU123456, can we raise the DSCRP: B/L showing two different container number?

Thank you,

Hello,

if a certain serial number or code is given, in my opinion there is no chance to determine a typing error only. Furthermore this is not a compliant presentation in the sense of art. 14 d UCP 600 and I would determine a discrepancy in both cases.

best regards
Stephan

Hi,

I have checked your attached BL and come to conclusion that it is discrepant according to UCP 600 sub-article 14 (d), i.e. data conflict: container no. in goods description column differs from that in container nos column.

You can raise the discrepancy in both cases.

I think that one need to see the document in order to determine compliance. Note that in some cases seal numbers may look like container numbers.

Best regards

Dear Kim,

I’ll forward you the scanned bill of lading which I received from PhanThanhNhan.

As said I have checked it and concluded that it is discrepant.

Best regards,
N.H.Duc
