AWB indicating … in flight seal

Dear all,

I have an LC calling for ”Air Waybill …indicating actual flight date and number in flight seal”.

Have anyone seen this before? And perhaps have a clue as to the intention – and what the document checker is to look for?

Thanks in advance
Kim

I have in my records an AWB with a rubber stamp:
"We hereby certify that the withinmentioned goods were despatched on
Flight No (to be completed)
Date (to be completed)
AWB No (to be completed)
For and on behalf of (Air line name) + Signature"
Is it the flight seal?
Regards
Daniel

I believe the LC is coming from an Asian Bank. If that is the case, “Seal” usually means a “Stamp (Chop)/signature” in Asia. I have seen AWB (from Korea) stamped “on board” with flight date, flight number and Korean characters (look like a signature). Nevertheless, I will go back to the issuer for clarification before advising.
Regards,
Albert

Jeremy, Daniel and Albert,

I thank you so much for your responses. I have asked the issuing bank for clarification. If I receive answer – I will inform according through this channel :-)

Have a nice weekend.
