we encounter a letter of credit stipulating that" full set of clean on board shipping company's b/l...."
we wonder what kind of b/l meets the requirement of shipping company's b/l.
does it mean that such kind of b/l must be issued by xxx shipping company? if it is issued by a transport company whose name dose not show the words"shipping company" like xxx shipping agency, however, xxx shipping agency indicate his capacity as agent

The answer should be found in sub-Article 23ai, Position Paper No. 4 and any related ICC Banking Commission Opinions ("shipping company" = "carrier").

To me the expression shipping company
always had the meaning of "the carrier".
This is also backed in the way many opinions had been written.
