Let us consider a simple DC that covers a simple trade, asking for drafts, invoices for general merchandise, packing lists, bills of lading, insurance certificate, certificate of origin and shipping advice copy, and the like, from port A to port B, CIF Port B Incoterms 2000, in containerized liner shipment. The DC is issued by SWIFT MT700 format.
How many pages should the DC have?

I would say no more than 2 pages are required in most cases that you describe.

Laurence,
For the same answer, as provided by you, I remember that one banker from Bangladesh asked me in one DC workshop:"T. O. How long is your page?"

T.O.
perhaps I should have said that NO PAGES are required if using eUCP, including EDI transmission of the DC.
