I quite agree that the day of shipment must be excluded from the calculation. However, as the day of shipment was 14 Jan the shipment advice had to be sent on or before 17 Jan. Therefore, as it was apparently sent on 18 Jan it does not meet the credit terms.

Altho I can understand how you reached the date of the 18th (by considering 15 + 3)I also agree with Jeremy that unfortunately it seems that the fax has been sent late because you have to count the 15th, the 16th and the 17th as being the three days allowed. That's why I suggested that the words "from, after" etc should be clarified in the next version of UCP, and not only apply to shipping dates or drafts, but also such actions as sending shipping advices.
