Negotiated an L/C requesting an AWB indicating under signature of issuing Carrier or its agent the complete agent'name indicating as agent of the carrier Asiana Airlines. Issuing bank noted the following discrepancy : trade name incompete (Ltd or Inc missing) and full address and location.
Such indications would have been helpful but are they requested by the UCP
Thanks for advsing

Roland,
I am not sure I fully understand the provision of the credit in question or the related element of the document presented. I would simply comment:
1. it is unclear to me how compliance with the provision is supposed to be determined. I can see an argument that it is a ‘non-documentary condition’ per sub-Article 13c and this is certainly the approach I would take regarding ‘name incomplete (Ltd or Inc missing)’ if -as a question of fact- the relevant name was ‘incomplete’.
2. With respect to ‘full address and location’ -presumably- being omitted, neither the credit -I take it- nor the UCP has anything to say on the subject. It is certainly not isbp that such information is required to appear.

Thanks Jeremy,
Sorry if I was confusing. The irregularity raised by the bank refers only the the name of the carrier to appear on the AWB as per art. 27
Hoping having been more precise now

Roland, I see that on its Korean website for English speakers it describes itself as Asiana Airlines, Inc. Therefore, I’d go down the sub-Art 13c route if I were in your shoes with respect to the ‘full name’ discrepancy as presumably there was not any express requirement in the credit that the relevant bank independently verifies the carrier’s ‘full name’.
