Pls comment on our following case and quoting the relating ICC opinions :
- LC requiredin 46a
All originals issurance policy/certificate showing number of copies issued
- Docs presented:
Insurance certified: issued in 01 original and 01 copy
Insurance presented in 02 originals ( 01 marked original and 01 marked duplicate)
We consider it as discrepant docs because of the inconsistency between the statement in insurance policy and number of copies presented
The negotiating bank disagree and said: THE NUMBER OF ORIGINALS INSURANCE POLICY PRESENTED (2 ORIGINAL), THE ANOTHER ONE IS TREAT AS THE ADDITIONAL DOCUMENT.

+ WE REPEAT THAT WE REFUSED THE DISCREPANCY STATED CAUSE THE INSURANCE CERTIFATE STATE THAT THEY ISSUED ONE ORIGINAL AND ONE COPY SO AS PER THEIR STATEMENT WE CLEARIFY THAT THE ORIGINAL INSURANCE OF THE FIRST FACE AND THE SECOND PAGE WE TREAT AS COPY OF INSURANCE
Thanks and best regards

In the French Larousse dictionary:
"duplicata: double, copie d'un document, d'un écrit"
You cannot raise a discrepancy for such a reason.
