Commercial invoice, packing list and FCR presented all showing description of goods exactly as stated in 45a of the credit.
Invoice showing item No.123/456 while P/C showing item No. as 123/456A and FCR showing item No.as 123.
Note: Item No. shown on all 3 documents are additional information only and is not required by the L/C.
Is it a discrepancy ?

Hi,
It is understood from UCP 600 Article 14 (d) that data (though not required by the credit) once shown in a document must not conflict with data in any other stipulated documents.
My answer is yes.

I do not see this as data conflict myself, Dave of Canada. I regard ‘456’ as supplementing ‘123’ and ‘A’ as supplementing ‘123/456’. Regards, Jeremy of Great Britain.

N.H. Duc,
I think that it could be said that the data correspond though no being identical. It seems that the BC is rather easy going, these days, about superfluous data not required by the credit.
So, not for the first time, I agree with Jeremy of GB
