Documents presentation period

We have questions about wording regarding documents presentation period. The L/C is showing "documents must be presented within 15 days after shipping documents issued ... " and relative B/L showing B/L issue date April 8, 2010 and separate "On Board April 14, 2010". In this case, which date should be used to count the documents presentation period.
