I would like to hear comments from the group regarding the following.
LC requires clean on board charter party Bills of Lading. Bs/L presented comply with the LC in all ways. The BL shows the vessel name as "Nijinsky", other docs presented (M/R for 1/3 BL ) show the name as MV Nijinsky, and other documents (shipping advice/various certificates) show the name as LPG/C Nijinsky. (LPG/C commonly known as Liquified Petroleum Gas/Carrier). The bank noted a discrepancy between MV, LPG/C and no identification at all. My feeling, is that as per UCP Article 14 d there is no discrepancy. The "discrepancy" has been waived but just curious about the groups interpation.

Thanks

The refusing bank was 100% wrong and the 'discrepancy' was utterly ridiculous. All that mattered was the vessel name 'Nijinsky'. This is an illustration of what a lottery the documentary credit can be.

Absolutely agree - there are no discrepancies (if all other documents are 'ok')
