please advise whether 1 covering letter enclosing 2 sets of documents under same L/C can be checked separately or have to be checked as one presentation. To be more specific : whether 1 set can be honoured and the seconed rejected for discrepancies.

Hi;
Each set must be checked separately.
I think Official Opinion TA694 will help you on this issue.

opinion TA694 does not exactly answers my question because I would like to know whether one covering letter (sight L/C ) enclosing 2 sets of docs can be treated and checked as if 2 presentations made.
My question has no relevance to maturity date or its calculation but only to the checking and honouring of documents.
I believe that eventhough 1 covering letter exists, we can check each set of docs separately.

If there are clearly two different and entirely separate sets of documents then I would regard it as absurd if one could not treat them as being two presentations.

Indeed opinion R670/TA581 ask the question I asked.
I do not find any decision whether docs may be checked separately. There is no conclusion in this regard

Please take a look at the second paragraph of the conclusion regarding the first question.

Is there only one draft/demand? The cover letter of a presentation can discuss/attach multiple presentations under the same or seperate LC's so it should not be the deciding factor.
