When the goods description in a credit indicates "expected content" but without giving a range, is the invoice required to show the actual content exactly the same as the "expected content"? Example: L/C shows "expected content FE 65%"; invoice A shows "actual content FE 64%". Is it discrepant?
Under the same L/C, invoice B shows "actual content FE 66%". Is it discrepant?

I do have to wonder what is the point of including such detail in a credit and my answer is given without any confidence on my part.

To me, if the expected content is ‘FE 65%’ (and I have no idea what that means) anything that deviates from this –whether up or down- does not meet what the applicant thinks they have agreed to buy. Thus, in my opinion, the description of the goods in the invoice does not correspond with that appearing in the credit.
