Dear all
With reference to the above para. I would appreciate your contribution explaining the condition:
....... or any presentation period stated in the credit, unless the credit explicitly states the basis for determining such presentation period.
To my mind this sounds contradictory but perhaps I not interpreting it correctly.

The point being made here is that a presentation period only applies in the first instance to original transport documents.

Thus when the credit calls for presentation of copy transport documents, then any stated presentation period effectively becomes null and void unless it is expressly linked to the copy transport document by stating that presentation must be made, by way of example, within 21 days after the date of the copy transport document.
