Discrepancy between invoice and certificate of origin
We suggest either the enquirer, Mr. Agutkowska from Poland or the DC PRO administration office delete this enquiry from this "General Discussion" section as the same enquiry has been posted and answered in the "Test/Practice area" section of the DC PRO "Discussion Forum".

Discrepancy between invoice and certificate of origin
Please note that the Test/Practice area of this forum has been provided for subscribers to practice making posts and replies.
All "real" contributions to the discussion forum should be posted to the appropriate category provided.
As such, I am posting the reply that Mr. T. O. Lee previously made to this query below.
Response by Mr. T O. Lee
There is no need for the Certificate of Origin to show the invoice date, unless it is a requirement of the LC. If the wrong invoice date appears to be a typographic error, it shoudl not be deemed as a discrepancy for dishonouring payment.
Article 21 of the UCP 500 may also help to deem this not as a discrepancy, unless the LC requires the invoice date to be shown in the Certificate of Origin.
Our opinions are made without seeing the actual Certificate of Origin and how the wrong date is to be presented. Therefore we hold our reservation and give our opinions just for educational purpose solely. The enquirer should show the actual documents to a LC expert to seek his opinions.
The enquirer should not rely on or act according to our opinions as stated above. We assume no liabilities or reponsibilites for any losses or damages related to or resulting from such opinions.

Discrepancy between invoice and certificate of origin
Although the "Test/Practice area" section is originally meant for test and practice only, in fact a lot of queries and responses are found there.
How would the administrator expalin about this phenomena? Should these queries and responses in the "Test/Practice area" section be swifted to other sections such as the "General Discussion" section?

The discussion forum is a resource for the members of DC-PRO.
Once a user acts within the terms of service (including - no abusive comments, no flagrant self advertising etc..)he/she can use the forum as they see fit.
For a member to achieve best results, however, we advise that posts are made under the relevant category.
The suggestion for DC-PRO to re-assign posts that have been made to the Test/Practice to the appropriate category is a good one.
We have given this consideration before and feel that it could be confusing as members may not be able to find their original postings.
Ideas on how we can improve the site are always welcome!!!
If you, or any member of DC-PRO, have more ideas on how we can improve this forum or any other part of the site, please inform us by using the Comments/suggestions link to the right of this page.
