Here is another query from the eUCP case studies held in Rome that we would like to share with members.
A DC subject to eUCP requires presentation of an electronic bill of lading. A paper document is presented that states that the electronic bill of lading will be available by clicking on the URL of the maritime carrier, such as www.oocl.com/ebl.
The Issue:
Is this presentation regarded as electronic presentation? Or only paper presentation?
The Conclusion:
Is such presentation compliant?
SPECIAL REQUEST:
Those who have attended the eUCP case studies in Rome please hold their tongues to allow other members to work out the answer themselves.
