Hi,
Pls kindly explain what is the meaning of phrase 'not exceeding' used by some banks in MT700 in field 39 B and is any offical ICC's opinion of usage/meaning of this phrase.

My view,it has no meaning.
it is just repeat of sub art.39b of UCP 500 it already says that ...provided that the amt of drawings does not exceed the amt of the Credit.

I think that 'Not exceeding'cannot be applied in another way.
