cmr indicating successive carrier

hello everyone !
i have following issue:
cmr signed and stamped by the carrier indicated under box 16 but also indicating in box 17 a successive carrier.
in my opinion such document is acceptable but a second (and even third) opinion will be highly appreciated.

Dear Bogdan,

I agree with you:

The document should

EITHER be signed by one of the carriers mentioned on box 16 or 17 –
OR by an agent on behalf of one of the carriers mentioned in box 16 or 17.
