Hi all,
there is a L/C with required document as follows:
Original or copy or faxcopy of CMR waybills according to the invoice, consignee: XXXX, stamped by the Russian customs authorities, for the components delivered outside Russia
Here my question:
If a copy of CMR is presented to you with a stamp:
'Stamp of the Russian customs authority:'
Below that stamp there is shown the Russian customs stamp in Kyrillic letters.
Would this fulfill the condition 'stamped by the Russian customs authorities ?

Generally russian banks operating in those kind of transactions do add "documents to be issued in english, except CMR which may be issued in another language. In this case the CMR could therefore be accepted as presented.
We have however faced cases were banks have refused to confirmed L/C like this because being in the impossibility to check the content of the document, which also make sense.

See if TA552 helps you.
In my opinion the CMR is ok as long as above/below the stamp it is written,in english,the name of the authority that stamped the document,as per l/c terms.
Also review art.41 of ISBP last 3 lines (only, in your case signature isn't required).
