Constricting clause on B/L

Hello,
if a B/L shows the following clause: If required by the carrier, this bill of lading duly endorsed must be surrendered in exchange for the goods or delivery order.
Does this phrase implicate that delivery of the goods may be possible and then it would constitute a discrepancy?
Many thanks for your suggestions.
best regards

Gerhard,
No discrepancy, but one must be cautious in case of financing

Gerhard,
I agree with Daniel.
It is not a discrepancy but in case 1/3 b/l have been sent directly to the applicant you must be very careful in case of financing.
if full set is sent to issuing bank and b/l is consigned to issuing bank or issued to i.bank's order you may finance.
