Although not coming into effect until 01 July 2007, UCP 600 is the source of much discussion ... and many questions are arising as to the correct application of the rules.
This new UCP 600 specific section in the Discussion Forum is intended for you to air your views, and hear the opinions of and interact with your fellow LC professionals around the world on these important new rules.

Well done Leo. Now 600 has been adopted the likelihood is we'll have lots to discuss before 1/7.

I hope it will not be used for making things even more complicated. It is difficult enough as it is.

Jeremy,
I really hope you're wrong but you might be right and if so, I wonder what will happen.

Dear Jeremy/Daniel,
I am upbeat that whatever will happen will happen for good. I am hopeful and optimistic, from the perspective of GCC/Middle Eastern countries.

Pradeep,
I am hopeful and optimistic too, somehow... . I believe that UCP 600 are good rules (sorry Jeremy) but (why is there always a "but") I also think that, maybe unlike 500 (to some extent), 600 will be scrutinized word by word, sentence by sentence, paragraph by paragraph, article by article with the risk of being too much commented, too much discussed, too much explained and also the risk of being "twisted". Remember Talleyrand: "If we go on explaining, we will stop to understand each other". That is the reason UCP 600 Section should not be misused.
