Allan Edward Barsky, JD, MSW, PhD, is Professor of Social Work at Florida Atlantic University (Boca Raton, USA). He is a state-certified family mediator, with a part-time private practice. Dr. Barsky’s book authorships include Conflict Resolution for the Helping Professions, Ethics and Values in Social Work (Oxford University Press), and Clinicians in Court (Guilford Press).

Dr. Barsky is Past-Chair of the National Ethics Committee of the National Association of Social Worker and was a 2015 recipient of the NASW’s Excellence in Ethics Award. Dr. Barsky also serves as chair of a national task force to revise the NASW Code of Ethics to include provisions for the use of technology in social work.
