B/L IS SIGNED BY ABC AND INDICATED "ACTING AS CARRIER" BELOW THE SIGNATURE.
THE ISSUING BANK REFUSE THE DOCS WITH THE DISCREPANCY :
"B/L : NOT SIGNED AS PER UCP 600 ART 20 (ACING AS CARRIER IDENTIFIED I/O AS CARRIER)"
MY QUESTION IS WHETHER THE DISCREPANCY RAISED BY THE ISSUING BANK IS CORRECT OR NOT ?

SIGNING ON B/L
Requirements of art.20:
A BoL must appear to:
i. indicate the name of the carrier and be signed by:
- the carrier...
Any signature by the carrier... must be identified as that of the carrier...
As per provided description, BoL indicate name of the carrier as ABC, is signed by ABC and signature follows by statement that it is signed by ABC acting as the carrier.
I think everything is in compliance with art.20 UCP
All the best,
Sergey
