The LC states "all original documents must be manually signed".
How does that match up with UCP Article 3 and ISBP Article 39. The document presented appears to have a facsimile signature.
Thanks for your comments.

My opinion is that the credit requirement overrides and restricts Art 3. Unfortunately the credit condition uses the expression ‘manual’ signature as opposed to the Art 3 term ‘handwritten’, thereby possibly creating uncertainty as to its exact meaning. Nonetheless, given the every day use of the word ‘manual’, and its origin from the Latin word ‘manus’ meaning ‘hand’, I would feel obliged to interpret the credit condition as requiring all documents to be signed apparently by handwriting. This I would regard as excluding an apparently facsimile signature.

Very well put. Thanks.
