Hi All
If the signing capacity appears as follows:
AAA Shipping Lines (stamp and signature)
As the Owner for and on behalf of Master MV. CCC., Capt. BBB
Is it a discrepancy under UCP600 art.22? Can anyone please explain why the above scenario is possible?
Thanks.

Hong,
I think it is a discrepancy.600's art.22 clearly shows the ways a c/p b/l may be signed. There is no other way.
Furthermore,I ask myself how can a owner sign on behalf of the master of the vessel they own ?
By the other hand,in order to comply with art.22 the owner should sign evidencing his capacity of agent of the master. How can a owner be the agent of the master ?
Do not forget that UCP is issued also based on comments of the practitioners in the transport industry. And I'm sure they covered all the possible ways a b/l can be signed.
Regards,
Bogdan
