Would you reject a marine B/L issued by :

'abc as agent for
the carrier OF xyz'

because of the word 'OF' inserted after the word 'carrier'?

Have never come across this problem yet -- but then that's what makes doccredits interesting!

I must admit that this could be a problem -- XYZ does not seem to be the carrier, so the agent is signing for what appears to be an un-named carrier (who eventually might have subcontracted to effect the carriage on behalf of XYZ)

I agree with Judith. I suspect that this is a poor translation, as the only problem with this is the word "of".
