Whether the issuer must evidence itself as the manufacturer

Hi,
May we have your comment on the below:

LC requires quality certificate to be issued by manufacturer whose name however is not stipulated by the LC.

The presented quality certificate is issued by a third party and not show any evidence that they are the manufacturer. Can we raise that this is a discrepancy ?

Hi,

It's a discrepancy.
IMHO the issuer must indicate his capacity as manufacturer as required by the LC.

It really depends on what the document says. If it is titled a Manu. Cert. then that should be enough. If it is not titled or titled something different than Manu. Cert. but somehow reflects that they have created/built/manu., etc. the goods then it is not discrepant.
