Following revision of its Terms of Reference for handling the technical side of its work, the ICC Banking Commission announced the confirmation of Ms. Farideh Tazhibi of ICC Iran and Mr. Jin Saibo of ICC China as Technical Advisors.
Tazhibi and Jin, each appointed to a three-year term commencing 1 August 2023, join Glenn Ransier, Kim Sindberg, Senior Technical Advisor David Meynell, and Editor Gary Collyer to comprise the newly-constituted six-person Technical Advisory Team whose primary role is to administer the ICC Banking Commission Official Opinions and informal queries sent by ICC uniform rule-users.
Asked to comment on his appointment to the Technical Advisory Team, Mr. Jin expressed to DCW: “First of all, as a Chinese practicing lawyer, I am deeply honored to be selected as a member of the TA team of the ICC Banking Commission and I look forward to serving the international banking community. Secondly, I will try my best to make my contribution to the work of the TA team based on my thoughts and understanding from my thirty years of experience in handling legal affairs and lawyer practice, especially in cross-border trade and financing as a barrister and arbitrator. Third, as a person who has maintained contact with a wide range of professionals in the international banking and legal communities, including the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, throughout my career, and as a person who has been engaged in writing, publishing, training and international conferences for a long time, I will continue to communicate with professionals around the world with a modest attitude as always.”
