Note: The Court of Appeal for Ontario, Sharpe, Laforme, and Watt, JJ in an opinion by Sharpe, J., ruled that an arbitrator could require a party to an arbitration to post security for costs and, for failure to do so, have the arbitration dismissed. The arbitrator had required that a CAN$750,000 LC be posted since the Principals did not have the ability to satisfy an award of costs.
