The world's third largest home shopping company has signed an agreement to use several applications developed by Tradebeam.

TradeBeam's integrated solutions include import and export compliance, inventory management, shipment tracking, supply chain event management and global trade finance solutions such as open account and letter of credit (L/C) management.

Latest customer

One of the company's latest customers is Redcats USA, a subsidiary of the home shopping company Redcats, which is a subsidiary of PPR, one of Europe's largest retail groups.

In 2004, Redcats' catalogues, stores and e-commerce sites generated total sales of euro 4.4 billion, with international sales accounting for 52 per cent of that total.

Significant advances

TradeBeam, which was founded in the midst of the dotcom boom in May 2000, claims it is now involved in the integration of physical and financial supply chains for global trade with over 3,000 corporate clients and end-users in over 100 countries live on its applications.

The company says it is making significant advances in the field of global trade settlement solutions while its L/C solutions claim to manage as well as automate transactions involving documentary credits. (DC World News, 10 August 2004).
