HSBC Vietnam has introduced its Internet Trade Services (ITS), an online import/export trading service to help its clients conduct international business transactions.

The online service has several features designed to let client businesses manage letter of credit (L/C) business over the Internet.

L/C facilities

According to HSBC, the service allows clients to initiate trade transactions, enquire about facilities and manage L/Cs and collections.Specifically, clients can apply for and amend L/Cs, transfer L/Cs and access electronic copies of L/Cs online.

Other functions

Clients can also arrange bill settlement instructions and enquire about their trade account status online.

The bank cautions, however, that local products and services may vary, and clients should contact their local HSBC office for details.
