Standard Bank's work on automating letters of credit (L/Cs) and guarantees has helped it to be named best investment bank in Africa for the second year running in this year's Euromoney Awards for Excellence.

Equity Bank took the highest accolade in Africa in this year's awards after being named the continent's best bank.

Euromoney sees Standard Bank as the key player in local market financing and has also invested in upgrading its trade processes from manual to digital, which has reduced turnaround times and worked to automate L/Cs and guarantees.

The bank has also been awarded this year's best bank for transaction services, as well as for wealth management.

Equity BankIn awarding Equity Bank Africa's best bank Euromoney says it has managed a rare feat for banks on the continent, becoming a domestic champion and a substantial regional player in East Africa.

Equity Bank is also named as Africa's best digital bank in this year's Euromoney Awards for Excellence.
